ArtStarts in Schools

Provides innovative arts programs for young people, practical resources for teachers and artists, and leadership in transforming the way children and youth are engaged, in and through the arts. Administers grants for artist residencies in classrooms, and other artistic experiences in BC schools; maintains directories of artists who work in schools across BC; and offers professional development opportunities for teachers and artists. The ArtStarts Gallery is devoted to displaying young people's art; free monthly arts-based workshops are open to children ages five and up and their families. Spaces in the facility are available for rent. Office hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday; gallery hours are 10 am to 4:30 pm Tuesday to Saturday.
