Autistics United Vancouver - Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Territory

Self-advocacy organization dedicated to improving the lives of autistic people and fostering a sense of autistic identity and pride. Holds regular monthly meetings in Vancouver and Burnaby to achieve local advocacy goals and to organize events in the autistic community. Advocacy activities include forming coalitions with other organizations to work toward social and policy change, campaigns and petitions, media outreach, and protests and public demonstrations. Also organizes events and cultural activities including acceptance and pride events, skill-building workshops, youth groups or teen mentorship programs, and social activities. Large-print materials and/or ASL interpretation is available upon request. Open to autistic and neurodivergent people, their family, friends, and allies. Meetings are held in wheelchair accessible, sensory-friendly, and scent/allergen reduced spaces. Chapter of Autistics United (AU) Canada.
