BC Civil Liberties Association (BCCLA)

Works to promote, defend, and sustain civil liberties and human rights through policy work, education, and litigation. Website offers a wide range of accessible resources including handbooks, factsheets, and community workshops to provide public legal education. Also works on change at the systemic level, engaging in changing law and policy through strategic litigation, research, advocating to decision-makers, running public education campaigns, and developing legal information guides, factsheets, and workshops about civil liberties and human rights. As such, the BCCLA does not offer direct legal assistance, representation, advice, or referrals. Office hours vary; generally open 9:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Nonprofit organization.
