The umbrella organization for individual community-based Crime Stoppers programs in the province. Works with local Crime Stoppers programs to engage the public to provide information about crimes anonymously. Each local Crime Stoppers program works with citizens, the media, and law enforcement agencies to make their community safe. Maintains a 24-hour telephone tip line and online tip-taking service province-wide for receiving anonymous information on a crime that has been committed or is being planned; there are no call display or call tracing features. If the information results in an arrest and charge, callers are eligible for a reward up to $2,000. Serves BC. Nonprofit society, registered charity.
