BC Metis Federation (BCMF)

Works to ensure the well-being of BC Metis Federation members in BC, and to advance Metis knowledge, language, culture, wellness, and self-determination through capacity building and systemic advocacy. Assists in creating employment and training opportunities for Metis across BC in partnership with industry. Also offers career services to support Metis individuals in finding employment or changing careers; services include assistance with resumes and cover letters, job matching, training opportunities, ongoing support, and access to positions with BCMF's industry partners. The Michif Language Project helps to preserve the French Michif dialect through a curriculum and a resource library for beginner level learners; funded by Heritage Canada. Office hours are 9 am to 3 pm Monday to Thursday; contact agency to book an appointment. Nonprofit society.
