BC Partners for Mental Health and Substance Use Information (BCP)

A group of seven mental health and substance use organizations in BC working together to help people improve their health and well-being. Through the website at www.heretohelp.bc.ca, they provide evidence-based information, self-management skills, systems navigation/connection with key resources across BC, and support for people who are experiencing a mental illness or struggling with substance use, including their family, caregivers, friends, and professionals working in the community. Website also offers quick answers to common questions around finding help, improving mental health, screening self-tests, workbooks, and strategies to try at home. A partnership between Anxiety Canada, BC Schizophrenia Society, Canadian Mental Health Association BC Division, Canadian Institute for Substance Use Research, FamilySmart, Jessie's Legacy Eating Disorders Awareness and Prevention (a Family Services of the North Shore program), and Mood Disorders Association of British Columbia (a branch of Lookout Housing and Health Society). Funded by Provincial Health Services Authority, with additional support from the Ministry for Children and Family Development.
