BC Society for Male Survivors of Sexual Abuse (BCSMSSA)

Provides BC-based counselling and victim services for all male-identifying survivors of sexual abuse, sexual assault, and intimate partner violence as well as for significant others and family members. Counselling fees are on a sliding scale based on income; available at a reduced cost from supervised Master's level practicum clinicians. Also offers two-hour, weekly group therapy sessions for male survivors of sexual abuse in person in Vancouver; fee is $40 per session with a sliding scale available upon certain circumstances. Clients may participate in as many eight- to 10-week cycles of a group as they feel is necessary, although it is preferable to undergo a few individual counselling sessions prior. Counselling services are offered in person in Vancouver, and by phone or telehealth elsewhere in BC. Hours are from 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday. Nonprofit society, registered charity.
