Non-partisan organization, run by and for BC youth ages 16 to 21, promotes yough service in the community. Activities include regional youth parliaments throughout the province for youth ages 14 to 18, where participants develop public speaking skills and gain knowledge about parliamentary procedure. During the winter school break, youth ages 16 to 21 from across BC meet in the Legistlative Buildings in Victoria to debate relevant issues and legislation. Also offers Camp Phoenix, a residential camp for children ages eight to 12 who for social or financial reasons, would not otherwise be able to attend a camp. Membership fees apply; however, financial assistance may be available.
