Burnaby Parks, Recreation and Culture Commission oversees parks, recreational facilities, museums, and cultural facilities in Burnaby. Indoor facilities include gymnasiums, fitness centres, swimming pools, ice rinks, pottery studios, art studios, dance studios, multipurpose rooms, and a climbing wall. Outdoor facilities include track and sports fields, playgrounds, outdoor pools, skateboard parks, and golf courses. Operates the Bill Copeland Sports Centre, Bonsor Recreation Complex (with the adjoining seniors' Bonsor 55+ Centre), Burnaby Art Gallery, Burnaby Lake Sports Complex, Burnaby Village Museum, Cameron Recreation Complex (including Cameron Seniors Centre), CG Brown Pool, Christine Sinclair Community Centre, Confederation Community Centre (which offers seniors programs and a low-cost weekday lunch program that is open to the public), Creekside Youth Centre, Edmonds Community Centre, Eileen Dailly Leisure Pool and Fitness Centre, Harry Jerome Sports Centre, Kensington Arena, Shadbolt Centre for the Arts, South Central Youth Centre, Swangard Stadium, Summit Youth Centre, Wesburn Community Centre, and Willingdon Heights Community Centre. Offers a variety of recreational, social, and cultural programs for all ages and abilities, including children, youth, families, seniors, and people with disabilities. Offers financial assistance for recreation such as the Grade 5 and 6 Be Active Pass. The Burnaby Recreation Credit Program supports low-income Burnaby residents to access recreation facilities and programs. Office hours are 8 am to 4:45 pm Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; and 8 am to 8 pm Thursdays.
