Handles complaints about false, deceptive, misleading, or fraudulent acts including telemarketing, mail fraud, ID theft, internet fraud, and other consumer scams with a Canadian connection. CAFC plays a role in the collection and dissemination of information to the appropriate enforcement agency. Educates the public about specific scams, and distributes educational and prevention resource materials. Coordinated by the Ontario Provincial Police, the RCMP, and the Competition Bureau of Canada. Services are offered in both official languages. Hours are 10 am to 4:45 pm Eastern time Monday to Friday.
