Offesr social, educational, recreational, and leisure activities and programs to help individuals ages 50 and over to maintain quality of life and independence, as well as connect, be revitalized, and experience the joy of life-long learning. Activity groups cover a wide range of specific activities, including in the areas of recreation and exercise, arts and crafts, cards and games, and ESL English conversation groups. Also offers many support and service groups, run by volunteers. The Connections Cafe serves lunch 11:30 am to 1 pm Monday to Friday; take-out entrees are available at 1 pm on weekdays, and snacks are available 9 am to 3 pm weekdays. The building is operated by the City of New Westminster, with activities also run by association volunteers. Fitness and other programs run by City staff must be booked through the City website (www.newwestcity.ca/parks-and-recreation/recreation/active-living-guide-and-brochures#alg) and have a registration fee. Annual membership ($20) is required for many but not all activities. Office hours are 9 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday. Nonprofit society, registered charity.
