Children of the Street Society (COS)

Aims to increase public awareness of the sexual exploitation of children and youth. Provides information, parent support, and workshops and educational presentations. Workshops include TCO² (Taking Care of Ourselves, and Taking Care of Others), presented to youth by youth and focuses on preventing the sexual exploitation of youth; It Can Happen to Anyone and Helping Others Prevent Exploitation (H.O.P.E.) are designed for parents, service providers, law enforcement, and the community to give a comprehensive overview on youth exploitation including legal issues, case studies, trends, different ways to approach issues, and prevention; and Redefining Manhood is aimed towards male students and discusses topics such as consent, the Me Too movement, the stigma of male sexual abuse, locker room talk, and sexual assault statistics and trends. Runs the Predator Watch campaign which strives to stop online predators by promoting the presence of undercover officers. Also lobbies government at all levels for legislation changes that will help protect young people, support families, and penalize criminals who exploit children. Office and program hours are 8:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday to Friday. Nonprofit society.
