Children's Heart Network of BC Society

Provincial organization providing support, information, and education to families, children, and youth dealing with congenital or acquired heart disease. Regional Education and Support Groups for parents of children with heart disease meet in Vancouver, Victoria, and Kelowna. Trains Resource Parents who provide one-to-one peer counselling. Coordinates activities and social connections for young people living with heart disease through Heart Beats, for children from birth to age 12 and their families, and Hearts of Gold, for youth ages 13 to 19. Also provides bereavement support and family social events. Co-hosts the biennial 'Growing Up With Heart Disease' conference. Operates a resource library and publishes the 'Heart Matters' newsletter. Office hours are 8 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday. Nonprofit society, registered charity.
