Provides free IT training to help individuals ages 18 to 30 experiencing un- or under-employment, while increasing the supply of experienced IT professionals. Teaches programming, soft skills, and professional development to meet labour market demands. Topic areas include technical skills as well as soft skills such as responsibility, team work, and commitment. Courses are offered in a Vancouver location on a part-time basis, and require considerable time and effort for homework and independent learning. Instructors are IT professionals working in leading companies. Eligibility requirements include Canadian citizenship, permanent residence, or an open work permit, and some ability or knowledge with computers. Application is online. Hours are 8 am to 5 pm.
