Diabetes Canada - BC and Yukon
Aims to improve the quality of life for people living with diabetes. Offers opportunities for children and youth with type 1 diabetes to connect through Diabetes Canada's D-Camps; provides expert information to healthcare professionals and people with diabetes that improves their care and self-management; assists researchers working on leading-edge treatments; and advocates on behalf of those with diabetes for equity, and improved access to supplies. Offers diabetes information and support through national toll-free help line in both English and French. Calls answered from 8 am to 6 pm Eastern time Monday to Friday. Also responds to voice messages and email inquiries within two business days.
