Provides the First Nations, Metis, and Inuit people of Canada with education, employment services, emergency food, counselling support, arts, recreation, culture, addiction counselling, and business initiatives.
Through Counselling services, peer counsellors provide opportunities for individuals to express themselves and be heard, as well as advocate and guide participants through difficult times. Also provides access to professional counselling for addiction, family matters or personal struggles. Cultural Arts services connect participants to their identities, beliefs, and history. Stories, music, dance, and traditional medicine are taught, celebrated, and appreciated. Education services can assist in obtaining Graduate Equivalency Degrees, post-secondary or general upgrades, and training certificates. Financial aid is available. Also provides education advisors, and tutors. Offers Employment Assistance services to those who need work experience, who want to change their career, or who have an industry they want to get into. Services include help with resume, cover letter, and interview training. Youth, adults and elders are all welcome to participate in work programs that run throughout the year. Food Assistance is also available, providing emergency food supplies and essentials.
