Provides a continuum of care for adults from independent living to residential care with professional services offered onsite: a podiatrist, dentist, physiotherapist/occupational therapist, audiologist, pharmacist, and optometrist/ophthalmologist. There are 36 subsidized Independent Living units for seniors age 65 and over. Rent is 30 percent of applicants' gross household income. Apply directly to Haro Park. Partially funded by BC Housing. There are 28 Assisted Living units that provide semi-independent housing for older adults age 60 and over who require assistance with day-to-day activities such as medications, bathing, or life skills; services include two meals per day. Housing is intended for people who are able to make the range of decisions that allow them to live safely in a supportive, semi-independent environment. Residential program is registered with the Assisted Living Registry, Ministry of Health. Funded by BC Housing. Referral is through Vancouver Coastal Health. There is also a Residential Care facility for 154 adults with complex health care needs who require 24-hour care due to a physical disability or health condition. Services include nursing and personal care, medication administration, meals, laundry service, and social and recreational activities. Publicly funded bed fees are a monthly rate up to 80 percent of client's after-tax income. Publicly funded beds require a referral from the local Home Health office following a health care needs assessment; do not contact the facility directly. Also offers private pay beds. Funded by Vancouver Coastal Health. Reception hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, and from 10 am to 6 pm on Saturdays.
