HAVE (Hope, Action, Values, Ethics) Culinary Training Society

Provides culinary training programs. The free eight-week Culinary Training Program teaches occupational and life skills to individuals facing employment obstacles such as physical disability, mental health, poverty, addiction, or homelessness. Readies students for food prep work in the restaurant industry through hands-on training, serving experience, and Food Safe certification. Students receive bus tickets to and from the venue as well as lunch for days that they train, uniforms, tools, and an honorarium upon successful completion. Graduates are provided job placement assistance subject to a probationary period. Offers further culinary training through the free 28-week ITA Professsional Cook 1 Program. Also offers a Catering Service that provides experience for culinary students, and revenue that supports their education and employment. HAVE (Hope, Action, Values, Ethics) Cafe is open to the public from 8 am to 2 pm Monday to Friday. Office hours are 8 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday. Nonprofit society, registered charity.
