The Saturday Lunch Feeding Ministry hands out bagged lunches between 1 pm and 2 pm on Saturdays to people who are living on limited incomes or who may be homeless in the gym at North Shore Neighbourhood House. Through Healing Hands, trained volunteer practitioners offer energy-based healing sessions; appointments are available on Monday evenings or Wednesday afternoons and can be made for at home, a care facility, hospital or hospice, or at the church. Free session, though welcomes donations. Contact sharon.yetman@shaw.ca to book. Seniors Connection provides older adults with chair exercise sessions followed by guest speakers and refreshments from 10:30 am to 12 noon on the first and third Wednesday of each month. Topics may include health and well-being, end-of-life planning, and community resources. Cost is $5 per session; registration is required. Also offers caring phone calls for people living alone. Office hours are 9 am to 3:30 Tuesday to Friday, except from 9 am to 3 pm in July and August.
