Jewish Seniors Alliance (JSA) of Greater Vancouver

Volunteer-driven organization supports Jewish and non-Jewish seniors ages 55 and over through information, peer support, social programming, networking, research, and system advocacy. Peer Support Services provides one-to-one emotional support by specially trained volunteers by phone or in-home visits. Through the Empowerment Series, provides free mini-workshops and educational seminars across the Lower Mainland on topics that are informative and meaningful for seniors. Also holds a spring forum and a fall symposium on topics of interest to seniors, and publishes the 'Senior Line' magazine. Serves all seniors regardless of gender, culture, ethnicity, sexual orientation, physical/mental ability, socioeconomic status, and religious/political belief systems. Office hours are 10 am to 4 pm Monday to Thursday. Funded in part by the City of Vancouver, the Province of BC, and the Government of Canada. Nonprofit society, registered charity.
