Seeks to make the criminal justice system more effective and humane, through involvement in and monitoring of the criminal justice system, research into relevant issues and making recommendations, building public awareness, and developing programs. Also provides pre-release planning and parole preparation; residential and non-residential bridging programs to facilitate re-entry into society; employment preparation; public education; and information and referral services for clients and their families. Hours are 8:30 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday. Nonprofit society, registered charity.
