Kilala Lelum (Urban Indigenous Health and Healing Cooperative)

Partners Indigenous Elders with physicians and allied health professionals to provide physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual care to the community in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. Primary care follows a team-based, comprehensive, and culturally-informed model, with an emphasis on cultural safety and health equity. Services include HIV management, opioid agonist therapy (OAT), individual counselling, and treatment for chronic conditions such as COPD, diabetes, and hepatitis C. Also provides case management for members at risk of 'falling through the cracks' in the healthcare system, which includes daily medication outreach visits, food security deliveries, housing support, and other social service supports. Breakfast, snacks, and hot lunches are served in the relational care space to members daily. Hours are 9:30 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, and 9 am to 1:30 pm Saturdays and Sundays. Mobile Outreach Program provides trauma-informed health outreach services including primary care, wound care, COVID-19 assessments and testing, STI treatment, mental health supports, and harm reduction.
