Mental Health Commission of Canada

Aims to raise awareness of the mental health and wellness needs of Canadians, and catalyze collaborative solutions to mental health system challenges. Convenes stakeholders, and develops and influences public policy; supports federal, provincial, and territorial governments as well as organizations in the implementation of sound public policy. Encourages actions that advance the Mental Health Strategy for Canada, to promote mental health across the lifespan, foster recovery, provide access to the right combination of services, treatments, and supports, reduce disparities in risk factors and access to mental health services, and work with First Nations, Inuit, and Metis to address their mental health needs. Develops and shares effective and innovative knowledge by developing and implementing mental health and wellness indicators, disseminating information, and facilitating knowledge exchange and sharing of best practices.
