Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) - Ashcroft

Supports the well-being of children, youth, and families, especially those who are vulnerable, through child protection and child and youth mental health services. Also offers family support services. Other services coordinated through central provincial offices include intake and screening; helplines and after-hours support; resources and referral; funding and benefits programs; and specialized treatment for disabilities, mental health issues, and substance use. Serves Ashcroft and area (Big Bar Creek, Cache Creek, Chasm, Clinton, Denman Creek, Jesmond, off reserve in Lytton, Spences Bridge, and Walhacin). Walk-in Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) intake and assessment clinic hours are 10 am to 12 noon Wednesdays. Office hours are 9 am to 12 noon and 1 pm to 4 pm Monday to Friday.
