Responsible for the management of forests, lands and range and integrated decision making for water, fish and wildlife, archaeology permits and authorizations and natural resource compliance and enforcement. Develops policies, programs, and legislation to promote industry competitiveness, and encourage investment in and development of natural resources. Ensures that ministry activities support sustainable development and protect the public's interest in these resources. Also works to grow the province's capacity to respond to climate change as well as natural hazards, including wildfires and floods. Partners with Indigenous and rural communities to strengthen and diversify their economies. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
