Ministry of Labour

Promotes fair, healthy, and safe labour and employment relationships in support of a strong, sustainable, and innovative economy. Responsible for administration and enforcement of BC's labour and employment statutes, including the Labour Relations Code, Employment Standards Act, and Workers' Compensation Act. Also has legislative responsibility for WorkSafe BC, the BC Labour Relations Board, the Employment Standards Branch, and the Workers' Compensation Appeal Tribunal.
