A community economic development organization in the Downtown Eastside. The Employment Readiness Program (ERP) supports individuals who are experiencing barriers to employment to navigate their journey of returning to the workforce through skills training, paid work experience, and support with other related aspects, such as creating a resume and gaining a reference. The ERP is available in two tracks: The Co-ed Track is open for everyone; facilitators, participants, and supervisors of all genders participate in this track. The Women's Track is open for women and non-binary people; work experience and one-on-one support in this track are facilitated by women staff and supervisors. ERP information sessions are held Thursdays at 1 pm. Call to sign-up for an information session; sessions are ongoing year-round.
Weekly community meals are offered through the Power Breakfast at 9 am and at 10 am Saturdays (tickets available at 8:30 am), and the Coffee House drop-in which provides coffee and snacks from 12 noon to 1:30 pm Saturdays at 543 Powell Street. Office hours are 9 am to 3:30 pm Monday to Friday. Nonprofit society.
