Mood Disorders Association of British Columbia (MDABC)

Provides treatment, support, education, and hope of recovery for people living with a mood disorder or other mental illness, and their significant others. Also serves to build awareness and understanding in communities throughout the province. Self-help support groups meet throughout BC, and include groups for families, youth, and individuals with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), or other mood or anxiety disorders; see website for meeting times and locations. Also offers MDABC Speakers Bureau where individuals share their stories of hope and recovery; see website for details. A Psychiatric Urgent Care Program provides psychiatric assessments with group follow-up care for adults and is available with a physician's referral.
