North Shore Pro Bono Society

Offers free and low-cost legal services in family law and estate planning to North Shore residents. Offers a family mediation clinic (in the areas of property division, support, and custody) and an estate planning clinic (regarding a will, power of attorney, and a representation agreement); clients must meet eligibility criteria. Also offers public education and coaching workshops (from 10 am to 12 noon on the first Friday of each month) on separation, divorce, parenting arrangements and agreements, division of property, and debt as well as rights and obligations, next steps, resources, and the court system, and assists with completing court documents and forms. Most services are free, though some family mediations are $20 per session. A mentoring training program is available for new mediators. Office hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday.
