North Shore Women's Centre

Drop-in resource centre for women seeking information, resources, peer counselling, and support on women's issues. Offers a single mother's support group in one-year cycles (beginning in September), monthly workshops, basic computer training offered in English and Farsi, information and referral to other community services, and public education. Registration is required for all programs. The Family Law Clinic provides legal information and advice consultation on family law issues for twice a month. Girls Empowerment Camp is a free, one-week summer day camp to support teen girls in empowering themselves and creating social change. Also offers access to a lending library, public access computers, and participate in special events. Services are available in English, Farsi, French, and Greek. Serves the North Shore (North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Bowen Island, and Lions Bay). Hours are 9:30 am to 3 pm Monday to Thursday.
