A 45-day inpatient treatment program for adults age 19 and over struggling with addictions (including alcohol, drugs, prescription medication, sex, and gambling) and process addictions (such as internet, food, and shopping); must be detoxed 14 days prior to admission. Offers affective-based, culturally appropriate programming that includes 12-step recovery, biopsychosocial, cultural/spiritual, life skills training, recreation, mental health, trauma, and yoga segments. Accepts individuals on Opioid Agonist Therapy (OAT); restrictions apply. Participants must attend at least six counselling sessions with an addictions or mental health counsellor in their local community prior to admission. Offers traditional Aboriginal day treatment programming, including sweat lodge and other ceremonies. Mandate is to serve First Nations, Metis, and Inuit people, but will serve anyone. House is not wheelchair accessible and pets are not allowed. Accepts referrals from a health care professional, social worker, addictions or mental health counsellor, or from a correctional facility; fees may be charged pending referral. Funded primarily by First Nations Health Authority (FNHA). Office and intake hours are 9 am to 12 noon and 1 pm to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday Mountain time. Nonprofit society, registered charity.
