Parole Board of Canada (PBC) - Pacific Regional Office

Makes independent conditional release, record suspension (formerly pardon), and expungement decisions, as well as clemency recommendations for offenders serving sentences of two years or more in all provinces and territories. Also makes conditional release decisions for offenders serving sentences of less than two years in all provinces and territories, except Ontario and Quebec which have their own parole boards. Offenders on parole, statutory release, and long-term supervision orders are supervised by Correctional Services of Canada (CSC). A record suspension allows people convicted of a criminal offense that have completed their sentences as well as a waiting period to have their criminal record kept separate and apart from other criminal records. Individuals convicted only of simple possession of cannabis are eligible to apply for an expedited record suspension. Expungement orders will have records of convictions for eligible offences that would be lawful today destroyed or removed. Persons convicted of an eligible offence may apply, as well as authorized representatives in cases where the person is deceased. Hours are 8:30 am to 6 pm Eastern Standard Time Monday to Friday.
