Paws for Hope Animal Foundation

Operates a range of programs that support companion animal welfare in British Columbia. Services range from direct service programs such as Better Together which provides financial assistance for veterinary care, and No Pet Left Behind which provides emergency fostering to those in crisis; see separate listings. Also provides advocacy and education programs such as Pets Are Not Products which brings awareness to the inhumane practices of animal breeding mills and backyard breeders. A guidelines booklet on 'Animal Rescue Standards of Practice' is available. Funding by various organizations including Vancouver Foundation, the province of BC, and the government of Canada.
