Powell Street Festival Society

Cultivates Japanese Canadian arts and culture to connect communities through programming, including the Powell Street Festival in Vancouver's historic Japanese Canadian neighbourhood. Annual events also include the Vancouver Asahi Tribute Game, a family-friendly baseball game in late summer; Setsubun new year event in winter; Minori Harvest event in autumn; and Hanami cherry blossom picnic in spring. All events incorporate capacity building opportunities for Downtown Eastside residents, community meals, and cultural activities that share Japanese Canadian history and culture.
