Pride Education Network

Educates and advocates for greater inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer persons in the educational system, and for a safer environment for LGBTQ students, parents, and teachers or other staff. Hosts meetings and socials; sponsors a website with links to other relevant sites. Works with the BC Teachers' Federation to develop workshops for educators and student teachers; produces materials for educators; lobbies for positive changes in schools, districts, unions, and the Ministry of Education. Also offers personal support to educators affected by homophobia, heterosexism, and transphobia.
