Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC)

Promotes and protects the health and safety of Canadians, in collaboration with all levels of government, local and international community organizations, and foreign countries. Provides programs, services, and research to prevent and control injuries, infectious and chronic diseases, and to prepare for and respond to public health emergencies. Also provides funding to develop, implement, and support community-based health programs designed to promote health and the well-being of Canadians with a focus on healthy living, diabetes, hepatitis C, AIDS, maternal and child health, Aboriginal health, and general population health issues.
