Independent agency responsible for recruitment to the federal public service. Develops policies and guidelines related to staffing, safeguarding competence, non-partisanship, and representativeness. Operates a phone line for information on jobs open to the public, and maintains an online job search page. Also offers the Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP), the Post-Secondary CO-OP/Internship Program, the Post-Secondary Recruitment Program, the Research Affiliate Program, and the Indigenous Student Employment Opportunity. Office hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
