Richmond Cares, Richmond Gives

Encourages and facilitates philanthropy - both volunteerism and financial donations - at the local level and on a larger scale. Also provides information and referral services, and operates many community services. Builds capacity in the Richmond nonprofit sector by providing training opportunities for volunteer managers, board members, and direct service volunteers. Supports the Richmond Community Foundation in managing local endowment funds, from which a portion of the income is distributed back into the community as nonprofit scholarships for Richmond students. Maintains an online directory of its members, as well as the 'Richmond Community Services Directory'. Office hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday. Nonprofit society, registered charity.
