Develops and manages affordable housing in Vancouver and Richmond for adults with mental illness issues. Housing options provide various levels of support, recognizing that people require different levels of support during their recovery process. Short-term community accommodation with 24-hour support is provided for individuals who require stabilization due to symptoms associated with their mental illness. Some residences are licensed care facilities providing 24-hour supervision. Supported apartments include self-contained suites, common space, meals, social activities, and support workers. Supported seniors apartments include self-contained suites, common space, meal services, and support workers. Tenants are referred to Sanford housing from wait lists maintained by Vancouver Coastal Health's Mental Health Housing Services and BC Housing's Housing Registry.
