Provides support and financial assistance to adults, children, and families who are affected by life threatening illnesses. The Rainy Day Fund provides monthly emergency payments to a maximum of $1,500 per family per year. Funds may be used for overdue rent and utility bills, reimbursement of medical parking and transportation costs, overdue phone bills, and provision of grocery cards. Patients must be receiving active treatment and household income must be under $60,000 to qualify. Application deadline is the 15th of every month, unless the 15th falls on a weekend, in which case the deadline is Friday. The Rainy Day Gifts program provides gift bundles for children with life threatening illnesses. The Camp Scholarship program allows children age 17 and under to attend a camp, program, or tutoring of their choice; application form must be submitted by a healthcare professional.
