Simon Fraser Public Interest Research Group (SFPIRG)

A student-funded resource centre dedicated to social and environmental justice through research, education, and action including community-building initiatives. Offers a social justice library, student lounge, student initiated campaigns, workshops, and special events. Volunteer teams provide students the opportunity to engage directly with social justice issues and with SFPIRG. Action Groups provide an avenue for students to organize and take action on social justice issues that matter to them. Letters For The Inside is a prisoner research request program which aims to increase prisoners' access to information, and thereby improve quality of life inside correctional facilities. The Social Justice Lending Library offers books, articles, and films on social and environmental justice issues. Office hours are 10 am to 4 pm Monday to Thursday. Nonprofit society.
