Society for Canadian Women in Science and Technology (SCWIST)

National organization encourages equal opportunities for women in scientific, technological, engineering and math careers. Highlights opportunities, achievements, and positive messages for and about women in the field, by raising public awareness and guiding policy implementation. Educates the public about careers in science and technology, and works towards improving social attitudes about the stereotyping of careers in science. The ms infinity program offers workshops for Grades 1-12 and encourages high school girls to pursue math and science through mentoring and conferences. The Immigrating Women in Science program provides networking and mentoring opportunities to women who have just immigrated to Canada and have training in science and technology. The Make Possible program helps women connect, collaborate and lead through a dedicated mentoring network in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Nonprofit society, registered charity.
