SOS Children's Village BC
Provides a continuum of programs to support vulnerable children and youth in BC, particularly foster children and youth at risk. Programs for children in care include counselling and play therapy; learning club; camp, recreation and cultural exploration; and caregiver support. Supports for youth at risk include transition to adulthood; youth housing year intensive; aftercare; and resources for youth. The Village provides supported housing for foster children and families. For at-risk youth, also provides programs that support the transition to adulthood for youth ages 16 to 24, and a one-year supported housing program for youth ages 16 to 24 who are aging out of the system. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Nonprofit society, registered charity.
