The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (BCSPCA)

Dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm, and wild animals in BC. Services and programs include cruelty investigations, sheltering and adoptions, emergency rescue and treatment, veterinary services, wildlife rehabilitation, humane education, and advocacy. Also provides a list of low-income spay/neuter programs in BC. Food bank outreach services provide pet food through community partners, local BC SPCA locations, off-site food banks, or identified communities; call the support line for information on availability in specific communities. Provincial office is the hub of administration, finance, fundraising, animal welfare, and education programs. The Cruelty Report and Wildlife Support Line handles reports of animals in distress (farm animals, domestic animals, and wildlife); hours are 8 am to 8 pm, seven days a week. For animal emergencies after hours, contact local police, RCMP, or the Conservation Officer Service (RAPP). Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Nonprofit society.
