The Cinderella Project

Provides underprivileged high school graduates from Metro Vancouver area with formal attire so they can attend their graduation with pride. Accepts donations of gowns, accessories, shoes, and makeup (see wish list on website), as well as monetary or in-kind donations such as gift certificates for cosmetic services, hair styles, taxi/limousine service, and dry-cleaning. Hosts annual Boutique Day every spring (in ballrooms donated by Pinnacle Hotel Vancouver Harbourfront; wheelchair accessible), and students who attend get one-on-one mentorship with a volunteer, their choice of graduation outfit (including culturally appropriate formal attire), hair and makeup application, food, a goodie bag, and formal photos. Volunteers who know American Sign Language or who work with visually impaired are available. Nonprofit society.
