Provides vulnerable children and youth with a variety of free programs and services. Break-Time Programs provide nurturing safe spaces for at-risk, inner-city elementary school students during winter, spring and summer breaks. The program offers nutritious meals, educational activities, field trips, and emotional support. KidSafe Connect provides a safe and engaging place for children and youth to stay connected and have fun after school throughout the year. The Young Leaders Program is an 8-week summer program for youth ages 12 to 13 designed to develop leadership and positive peer relationship skills, prepare them for high school transition, promote citizenry, and increase job readiness. YouthLink is a transition program that connects youth graduating out of the break programs with other community programs and services needed to support a healthy transition into high school. Participants of all programs must be referred by their teacher, principal, or family support worker. In cases where barriers to regular attendance exist, arrangements can be made to transport children to and from their homes and KidSafe's programs. Office hours are 9 am to 3 pm Monday to Friday.
