An early intervention and educational centre for young children with emotional and/or behavioural challenges, and their families. Services promote the emotional health and well-being of children and families within their community. Works in partnership with parents, caregivers, educators, and other professionals to build capacity and strengthen community. The Family Program provides early intervention and prevention for children ages three to five with significant emotional and/or behavioural challenges living in Vancouver. Offers parent support and education, child therapy, therapeutic preschool, in-home support, and follow-up services; a referral form is available online. Outreach Support Services provides support to daycares and preschools in Vancouver and Richmond, and to school-age programs in Vancouver where children 18 months of age to 12 years demonstrate emotional and/or behavioural challenges; services include support for children and training for service providers. A referral form is available online. Child Therapy Services offers play, art, and expressive arts therapy for children ages three to 12 who have an open Family Services file with the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) or Vancouver Aboriginal Child and Family Services Society (VACFSS) in Vancouver; referrals are only available through MCFD or VACFSS.
