Vancouver and Lower Mainland Multicultural Family Support Services Society

Provides culturally sensitive services to immigrant, refugee, and visible minority women, children, and families who are experiencing family violence. Supports women in developing organizational and leadership skills. Also offers educational programs to multicultural communities regarding the dynamics of family violence and alternative models of treatment, and provides consultation and educational programs to professionals. Serves Burnaby, Coquitlam, Delta, Ladner, Maple Ridge, New Westminster, North Vancouver, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Richmond, Surrey, West Vancouver, White Rock, and Vancouver. Office hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday; appointments preferred. Receives funding from Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General, Public Health Agency of Canada, Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD), BC Housing, Employment and Social Development Canada, and Department of Justice Canada.
