Vancouver Folk Song Society
Singers, musicians, and people who like to sing with others meet to sing, listen to, and learn about contemporary folk songs, traditional songs, ballads, blues, shanties, and the like. Offers an extensive library of books, tapes, and records for members. Organizes an annual fall retreat and other musical social events. Membership fee is $20 for individuals or $30 for households and is optional. Meets at 7:30 pm on the first and third Wednesday of each month at Friends Meeting Hall, 1090 West 70th Avenue in Vancouver. Nonprofit society.
