Vancouver Language Assessment Centre

Access point for Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC), free basic and intermediate English language instruction for adult newcomers to Canada. Assesses prospective students for eligibility and training level using the Canadian Language Benchmarks Placement Test (CLPBT), then gives referrals to an appropriate LINC school. Students must be age 17 or older, be approved for permanent residence, and have a Canadian status document. Also open to people who are here under the Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET). Serves residents of Burnaby, New Westminster, North Vancouver, Richmond, South Delta, Vancouver, and West Vancouver. Hours are 8:30 am to 3:45 pm Monday to Friday. Operated by Canus Trading Ltd; funded by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
